The Via Dinarica trail has been selected as one of National Geographic Traveler’s 21 “Best of the World” destinations for 2017. The selection process was very competitive and involved nominations from National Geographic Traveler’s worldwide network of editors, writers, and explorers. Only 21 places were chosen on the planet and it's one of the most sought-after recognitions in the business.
National Geographic Traveler has the largest audience of any travel magazine, with more than 8.5 million readers. The readers love to travel, with most international trips, and most outdoor recreation spending of any other travel title.
The National Geographic Traveler story is probably the most important story of the year and is one that REG, in cooperation with the Via Dinarica Alliance, has fully supported towards it's completion. We believe this is a great achievement where a fairly unknown destination (trail) is on the most-read, most-exclusive "best of" list in the travel business.
