The REG - USAID Learning by Doing program is running a 3 day 'Learning by Doing' training in Guca Serbia, to support the development of new tourism experiences, based on Serbian trumpet music, dance and gastronomy.

From the 9th - 12th of November 14 participants from the Western Balkans Geotourism Network are helping local businesses and the local community trial run new experiences developed under the REG Tourism Western Balkans project. Participants are tourism business owners from Serbia, BiH, Montenegro and Kosovo. During the 3 day program they will train to play the trumpet, tuba and drum, learn traditional Serbian dances and prepare traditional celebration meals, before joining a 'Serbian celebrations' evening, to play with top Serbian trumpet band - Dragacevske Trube.

REG and the Western Balkans Geotourism Network are also grateful for the participation of the Serbian National Tourism Board, and Dragacevo LTO. The trumpet training will be televised live on Serbian National television at 3pm today (10th November).

The Guca - Music tourism cluster includes: Dragacevo LTO, Zlatibor Hotel, Dragaveske Trube trumpet band, Guca youth dance group, Vahati Rural accommodation, Dramlic family farm and Velimir Veljo Šunjevarić pottery expert 9who will provide a craft making experience).
